August bicket (they/them)

GRANT & PROGRAM MANAGEMENT FELLOW, PCRG

An alum of the PCRG VISTA Program, August Bicket currently serves as the organization’s and program management fellow. During their year as a VISTA, they focused on PCRG’s Environmental Justice Roundtable in addition to PCRG’s VISTA program, policy writing, as well as grant writing and editing.

Bicket is excited to be carrying on their efforts with PCRG as a fellow, continuing their writing and editing work — and helping to administer the VISTA program. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Bicket is thrilled to be working to make the city a more welcoming and livable place for all residents.

They earned a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon in 2021 and worked as a barista and a crayon maker before coming to PCRG in July 2022.

Bicket spends their spare time playing music, cooking, and biking, as well as volunteering as a youth crisis counselor.
