Matthew Broocke (he/him)

PROGRAM COORDINATOR , EAST HILLS CONSENSUS GROUP

 Matthew Broocke utilizes past experiences in community mobilization, organizing and local public service to help further build the capacity of the East Hills Consensus Group through its partnership with PCRG. In his current role, he oversees organizing, communication, research and education initiatives to empower residents, seek partners and identify opportunities to restore vacant properties for productive use. 

Before joining the PCRG team, Broocke spent several years working locally as a community-based organizer and as a union organizer during his time as an undergraduate student. He also formerly worked in local government constituent services.

Born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, Broocke graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

He’s lived in the Bloomfield neighborhood in Pittsburgh’s East End for several years and, in his free time, enjoys reading and biking.
