Diane I. Daniels (she/her)

executive director, EAST HILLS CONSENSUS GROUP

A resident of East Hills for nearly three decades, Diane Daniels co-founded the East Hills Consensus Group more than ten years ago with a group of concerned residents as a volunteer group to address community issues. Utilizing her years of experience as an entrepreneur and award-winning journalist, she and the co-founders established the organization to operate as a unified community collaboration in working toward building East Hills as one of Pittsburgh’s safe, vibrant and unified neighborhoods.

Daniels’ career started in the community development arena at the height of the Manchester redevelopment era before she became the owner of a multiphase public relations and business development firm. Her client focus included nonprofit organizations and small businesses.  As the business writer for the historic New Pittsburgh Courier and many other publications, she has had the opportunity to interview U.S. Presidents, popular entrepreneurs, athletes and entertainers. Daniels has received countless awards and honors.

A graduate of Wilberforce University with a degree in mass media communications, Daniels sits on the boards of the East Hills’ # 1 Homeowners Association, The DANA Movement Ensemble, Mothers of Murdered Sons, and Sisters Saving Ourselves Now — as well as Karen’s Second Chance, or KSC, Advisory Board.
