Housing Development Finance Professional (rHDFP) 

Learn how to finance and develop affordable housing projects, covering single and multi-family housing. 

HD423: June 10-12, 2025 | 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST

The second course in the RHDFP Certification Program™, HD423 builds on the financial analysis techniques from HD420, incorporating spreadsheet models to help participants evaluate and restructure affordable rental housing transactions.

This two-day course provides hands-on experience using financial spreadsheets to interpret data and explore structuring options for real-world case studies.

Topics include:

  • Spreadsheet basics

  • Rental housing financial models

  • Debt and equity investment vehicles

Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) 

Master the skills for successful economic development, including business credit, real estate finance analysis, loan packaging, negotiation, and deal structuring. 

ED201: April 28-May 2 2025 | 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST

Participants in ED201, the second course in the EDFP Certification Program™, build on the financial analysis and deal structuring techniques from ED101 with advanced methods for assessing small business creditworthiness. Learn how commercial lenders evaluate credit and apply these insights to economic development finance programs.

Participants will analyze real-world financial statements and structure financing packages for manufacturing, service, and retail businesses.

Topics include:

  • Credit analysis process

  • Permanent working capital analysis

  • Cash flow analysis

  • Projections and deal structuring

Successful completion of ED101 and/OR HD420 is a REQUIRED prerequisite to participating in ED201 AND/OR HD423.
