The City of Washington CDC is a revitalization effort led by and for City of Washington residents.

Since 2016, NAP funding has allowed our team to focus on current issues, match resources with projects, and advocate for quality-of-life improvements throughout the community.

The CDC staff has worked with community organizations to complete a comprehensive blight inventory and on home rehab projects in partnership with community groups, and tradespeople. It has also returned the Business Improvement District to an active organization, providing technical resources and mentorship to the small business community as well as a variety of community-led programs that focus on activating public spaces.

The Fayette County Cultural Trust has spearheaded the Neighborhood Partnership Program in the City of Connellsville for the past 10 years.

By working collaboratively with other non-profit partners including the Carnegie Free Library, Wesley Health Center, Community Ministries, Recreation Department, K9 Unit, local hospital, the Learning Lamp Day Care and others, this initiative has provided much need resources to these organizations to assist individuals in the community.  Through various educational programs, local businesses and individuals have had the opportunity to increase their knowledge of trending topics.

The corporate support by the Neighborhood Partnership Program has allowed the Fayette County Cultural Trust to build its organizational capacity and stability.  As a rural community, where other resources are limited, this program has been transformative.  We support the increased funding effort, so that other communities can also thrive and flourish.
