ERNIE HOGAN (HE/HIM)

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PCRG

Ernest Hogan utilizes 30 years of experience to advance a neighborhood-driven agenda of economic growth.

Since joining PCRG in 2010, Hogan has upheld the organization’s mission and shepherded programs and efforts aimed at uplifting all residents — with a focus on communities of color, as well as low- and moderate-income areas. Those include the  “Ain’t I A Woman” housing initiative promoting homeownership opportunities for Black women — and collaborations with community banks and public partners to introduce creative mortgage products in underserved neighborhoods.

Such programs have resulted in financial institutions reinvesting more than $5 billion in Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods. Hogan has also completed as well as assisted in Pittsburgh redevelopment efforts through the creation of affordable housing and economic development programs — totaling about $1 billion dollars in reinvestments.

He currently serves as a board member of Highland Park CDC, is vice chair of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition — and is an appointed member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Community Advisory Council, Huntington National Bank Community Advisory Board.

He has chaired Pittsburgh’s Historic Review Commission and is a former board member of Kelley Strayhorn Theater and Community Human Services. He also served on Governor Wolf’s transition team as a member of the Banking and Securities Committee.
